Estates

Description

Located on the picturesque island of Muhu, Pädaste Manor is a historic manor house dating back to the 16th century. It is the only surviving manor house on the island and its history is closely linked to the Baltic nobility, including its first owners, the von Knorring family. In the 18th century, the manor became an important agricultural centre, known for its rye fields and pastures. In 1875, the current main building was built and has survived to this day, along with a number of outbuildings.

Today, Pädaste Manor is a prestigious hotel offering luxurious accommodation, spa services and fine cuisine. The estate has received high marks in a number of international publications, such as The Times and The Financial Times, and has been visited by such distinguished personalities as Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and Luciano Pavarotti.
